Vineyard in the Mountains

The Cape Colony was originally founded by the Dutch East India Company (yes by a company, not a country). At the heart of their plan was the production of wine and vegetables to restock their ships that were heading to the East Indies to trade for spices. As a result almost everywhere one goes in Cape Town there are vineyards. This pictures was taken while I was sitting at a cafe in the mountains east of Stellenbosch sipping coffee and eating scones.
